Brand new O2 sensor messing up

So my check engine light when off and the code reader said that it was a bad o2 sensor. Well I bought and new one and put it in and now there's a new code saying that the circuit is high voltage. It's brand new so I don't understand how this would happen.

2nd on that. Bosch does something weird with the "preheater" coil on their O2 sensors that causes trouble with Jeeps.

For a 1999 2.5L jeep, NTK part numbers are as follows from rockauto.com:

NTK Part # 23506 {#23103} NTK OE Type (upstream)

NTK Part # 23099 NTK OE Type (downstream)

and if you needed a discount code follow this thread:

http://www.wranglerforum.com/f5/rock...de-257551.html

I changed out all 4 of mine last February to NTK's because I figured it was time to replace on my 2001 TJ 4.0L. 2.5's usually have only 2 o2 sensors to deal with.

I replaced my rear O2 sensor with a bosch and didn't have any issues. Did you guys ha e issues w the front being Bosch or didn't matter? I guess some jeeps don't mind the Bosch but others hate it??? I'm just interested, not trying to start a war and I definitely believe you because I have heard of others having the issues.
I had the high voltage issue but there was an issue with my wires. I unhooked the sensor made sure wires were perfect, then no more issues

Bosch is hit or miss. I have had both good and bad luck with them in my/buddies Jeep(s) both upper and lower.

Hi, I am new here and stumbled accross this thread through a google search while researching an issue with my 1995 ZJ 4.0L.

Wade, have you had the chance to swap out your Bosch sensor for an NTK, and if so, what was the result?

Thanks!

Mike
