Angry broke the screws off that hold door strap to door

so the other day i opened my door and the wind caught it good and opened the door so fast that the screws that hold on the metal thingy that hold the door stop strap to the door broke off, and they broke off in a manner that i cant get at the screw. so am i s.o.l. or what, i gotta get this fixed its driving me up the wall.

Go get some E-Z outs. They are a little threaded tool that had a reverse thread that works when you drill into a stuck/broken bolt and thread the E-Z out in. Try those, they should back the bolts right out to you unless they are too coroded, then you may be better off drilling them all the way out and retapping the holes...

Yup, been there done that. Personally I just left it and haven't worried about it. But like Jeeperman said above drilling the bolt with a smaller bit and using the EZ-Outs are going to be the way to go if you still want to use the strap.

Me too, I tried the ez-outs without much luck.

Just drilled them out and replaced with some of those self tapping screws.
