I screwed up and purchased stock height motor mounts from Tim back when I determined that my stock ones needed to go. At that time I did not wish to get a tummy tuck, so no body lift or motor mount lift were in the picture.
I have not yet had the time to install the new stock height motor mounts, so they are here, with Tim's excellent engine block brackets, still in the boxes. All I have done was to unpack, inventory and inspect everything. Then back in the box they went.
I recently realized that I wanted a tummy tuck and also a raised gas tank skid. I had wanted these things anyway, but thought they were out of my price range and very complex to install.
Well, I learned that most of what you need to do I had already done, except for the BL/MML.
So I ordered both, and for the MML I stuck with the Brown Dog mounts. That means that I have both the stock height and the 1" lift ones next to each other, and I don't think I have ever seen photos of them together.
I thought that these might be interesting to some folks, if not really especially useful.
I also purchased the full hardware needed for all this, including the through-bolt kit, which is a very nice replacement set if your stock ones are ratty.
Here are four pics of the two mount sizes and example hardware. The mounts come with a captured bolt and a stover nut mounted finger tight, with a small ziplock bag with two bolts with washers for the other side.
The through-bolt set has the two bolts, two nuts and four washers.
These mounts both has the Ultra Flex rubber bushings. Me no likey poly. :thumb:
Tim had these shipped the same day. All he had to do (I think) was paint them and press in the bushings. The paint is still fresh and smells strong. This was the case with the engine brackets and stock height mounts, too. Let them breathe for a few days or you will be high as a kite! HAHAHA!!!
Super fast, very helpful, well made product, made by a guy with a name who answers his own phone here in the US. Super nice stuff. Thanks, Tim. You have a great little company!
