Bumper Bolts

Does anyone happen to know off hand what size torx the bumper bolts are? I need to get the right size so I can put my new bumpers on when they come in. Thanks.

I ordered the Smittybilt Classic Rock Crawler front with D-rings and the classic rear with tire carrier.

Ya might better look into getting the whole torx bit set instead of just buying the one you need right now... Their handy to have around and don't really cost all that much and your more than likely going to use a few of the other ones in the set at a later time. You can never have tooo many tools!

I have a set and it stopped at T50 so I have to go buy at least a T55 to remove the bumper.

I had to use a piece of pipe on the end of my socket wrench to remove those torx bolts. They were a mother.

should be t55
just a thought...why don't you get some grade 8 hex head bolts and toss the torx bolts in the trash where they belong. that will make the removing/installing process easier next time. i did that on my cj7 and was glad i did.

T55, but might as well get (2) of them, cause there have been times where one of the torx gets strips.

I also agree, upgrade to Grade 8 bolts from the local hardware store.
For the most part each time I remove a bolt like that I usually upgrade to stande Hex bolt

me too. my bumpers, seat belt brackets, seat brackets, and roll bars have all been upgraded to hex heads. it is sooooo much easier that way.
