camshaft recommendations

Well, I ended up throwing a rod on my 4.0, so I have a shop that is going to build me a replacement engine... While they are building it, this seems like the perfect time to put in a cam!!! So, my question is- Does anyone have any recommendations?

Before the hammer falls, take a look at the applicable year models.

Would a cam like that affect your TJ's ability to pass the smog test if Virginia has one?
