Can't get my center dash out

I'm trying to access my switch area to pull the blanks out, and I can't get the dash cover to release. I've removed the 2 screws on the top, and also the one behind the ash tray. However, when I pull it out from the top it goes about an inch and "hangs" on something. I'm almost to the point of just snatching it off, but I harnessed my temper.

Is there a "trick" to getting this thing to release and pull out/down?

After working with it some more, it is definitely hanging on something near the top of the dash. I've looked, felt, and done everything possible to figure out what is hanging up under there but I can't find the cure. It comes out about 1" and then just stops as if it is still hooked to something?

There are like 4 clips holding the dash cover on. I think 2 towards the top and 2 lower down. I always removed mine by pulling towards me and getting the top 2 undone and pulling up and out for the bottom 2.

YEP, that's the key. I've read on several occasions that you pull the top out, and the bottom will follow. BUT, I found that if you pull both the top and bottom at the same time it just falls right off.

Thanks for the help. Got the fog lights on and wired up and working.
