check engine light code 05-00???

Hi!

Hoping for some help. My check engine light came on and the code reads "05-00". What in the world does that mean??

Any help is truly appreciated. Thanks!

How are you getting that code? It sounds like you ran the actuator test by holding the reset button & turning the key on. That goes through a test that lights all the lights & swings the gauges then shows some other info. The trouble codes will have a letter (usually a P) & 4 numbers. On the yrs that is works on, you turn the key (without starting) on-off-on-off-on & read the codes in the display. Otherwise you need a scanner.

Mine showed that on my other jeep and it was a gasket between the fuel pump and tank!
