Check engine light issue

Hey guys, a short while ago the check engine light came on in my Rubi, when I plugged her in it came up as a cylinder 3 misfire. The light turned off after I plugged it in, when I took her to see my mechanic he told me that with the low mileage and condition of the plugs and wires there is very little chance that it was an issue with either, could have just been due to the conditions outside (+100 degree weather).

The light hasn't come back on, the question is .. do I just do the tune-up anyways and replace them? Or could it really be a one time thing that I don't have to worry about?

Thanks.

What kind of plugs are you using? I've learned from this forum and experience that the wrong plugs in post 2000 4.0s will cause problems.
