Chirping noise

I did a few searches on this and came up with some angry sparrows stuff, but I am not sure if that is the case.

It is only when I hit bumps and it seems to come and go. I have sprayed nearly everything I can around the front end with penetrating oil and that has taken care of other squeaks I was hearing, but not that one chirping sound.

If I am on a smooth road I won't hear it at all. Does that rule out the front driveshaft?

Unfortunately not. When my ball centering joint went at first it was every now and again. It eventually will be worse to the point that you can't stand it any more. Drop the front drive shaft and see if it goes away. If it does you have found your problem.

Ditto....it will not harm your vehicle what so ever to drive with the front shaft removed.

Well I was shaking some stuff on the body of the Jeep and I noticed one of the running boards was really squeaky sounding. Went ahead and lubed it up and problem solved.

I had an annoying squeek also when going over bumps, I tightened the sway bar links and all the body lift bolts and it went away.
