Cigarette Loghter not working

So recently I bought myself a Jeep and am still learning then ins and outs of them. The stereo head unit I have doesn't have a aux thing so I bought a cigarette lighter transmitter. When I went to plug it into my cigarette lighter it turns out that it does not work... It is the only thing on my dash that does not work and I was wondering you guys knew of something that may be the cause? Thank you!

Could just be a fuse. I would start there.

If fuse doesn't fix it, pop it out an see off the wire terminals on the back are corroded. I've had the problem on my last car.

Have you ever gotten it to work? I had the same issue and I discovered that you have to unplug it for about 7 seconds then plug it back in and it links up with the desired station. Could've just been a cheap wire though

Not sure off hand. Check behind the glove box, the list of fuses is written on it. It most likely says "cigar".
