Clear liquid leak

So I went wheeling yesterday and afterwards took the Jeep to a do it yourself carwash...high powered spray, etc. I sprayed it really well underneath.

This morning I noticed a puddle on the garage floor underneath the Jeep. It's a clear liquid that doesn't have an oily feel to it...no smell...no taste either...I know, that's weird! Fast forward 24 hours and it's still dripping very slowly...a single drip once every 10 minutes. It appears to be coming from above the transmission.

Could water still be dripping from somewhere? Should I be concerned? Thanks all for the help...won't be the first(or last) problem this forum has solved for me.

My first GUESS would be the insulation material above the tranny in the "tunnel"..assuming it got wet enough to hold water, and is just now drying out....

If you really want to find out if its water, just use a chlorine test strip (used for swimming pools). Car wash water has public water chemicals.

If it's clear with no smell/taste it could only be water.

Only if the water source for the car wash IS a public water system. Otherwise, it could be well water (common in rural areas around here).

Some use clear water in windshield washer and wardroom has a hose all the way to back washer but it is inside cab

Never tasted or smelled the blue or orange washer fluid but the look pretty clear on a concrete small puddle

True, but it would have a distinct odor.

is it coming from the cowl drain?? That is the rubber tube coming off the firewall on the pass side toward the bottom. Maybe you filled up the cowl some, the drain is partially blocked, and taking time to drain? This also drains condensation when the A/C runs.

That's it! I noticed it dripping from there this morning. It's since stopped. I'll pull it apart to see if it's clogged. Thanks!

x2. There's a rubber boot on the bottom of it. Go ahead and rip it off. It will keep your jeep from filling up with water thru the fresh air damper when it cloggs up completely in a rain (or wash). Learned this on my son's 97. Did it to my 00 as a precaution.
