clutch pedal bushing

I have a 98 TJ with a 4.0 and a 5sp. My bushing on the clutch pedal that connects the clutch master cly. to the pedal broke. I have talked to three different dealers that all want to sell me a part that fits but will not stay on. It looks nothing like my old one either. I have a large zip tie and that runs threw the hole in the pedal to hold the linkage on for now and an e-clip. They all say this part has been the same since 91-05. I put it on and the third time i pressed the pedal in it came off. Yes it works but nothing to hold it on. Anyone have an answer?

Maybe you could go to a junk yard and find a similar year to your and try gettin it that way? It may be a long shot but Im sure they're bound to have Wranglers on the lot and I bet thats not a part that is in high demand.

The yards around here do not let you back in them. Nobody wants to go look for a silly plastic part. They want to sell big ticket items.

if you go to the dealer they should be able to order it i think, or you could see if someone on here i going to a junkyard and could pick one up for you and send it and u could pay for shipping, if its worth it to you

I did order a new one from the dealer. It is not the right one. Three different dealers all want to sell me the wrong part. They do not show anything that looks like mine.
