That's a good idea. Getting the tranny jack lined back up was the hardest part, except for forking the cash over.

My 2001 TJ Sahara is in now having the master, slave, clutch, release bearing, and pressure plate replaced as well as the flywheel machined. Saw it today and the shop had everything inside the transmission housing completely polished ready for re-assembly. All parts and all labour coming in at $1690.00 plus tax. Our shop has been maintaining our vehicles for 15 years and do awesome work. At one point my wife and I were putting 110 000km yearly combined on our wheels and we have never had a complaint about service or price. Any garage can do the job for 800-1000 bucks but you get what you pay for. If it is apart replace it all and never look back.

Chrysler recommends not resurfacing Jeep flywheels due to the slightly domed shape they have. Surfacing gets rid of that. They should be cleaned up, or if cracked or heat checked, replaced.
