clutch slipping and flywheel

My clutch is in need of replacement. I haven't had a free weekend to replace it yet and i know the clutch has been slipping occasionally. I have read on JF that the flywheel surface is contoured for better engagement and you should not get it resurfaced. I am worried it might need to be replaced due to the slipping. I know i am getting a luk clutch kit as Jerry has recommended in many of his posts. Do you think i will need a flywheel as well and can it be easily replaced?
