Code P0455

Put gas in the jeep yesterday morning, drove to work. When I went to lunch, the jeep didn't want to start on the first turn, then stuggled to start on the second try, but did. It started fine beyond that, and this morning when I started it up, the engine light came on. P0455 was the result. Parked it and drove my truck to work.
I've done research and it mentions it being a large emissions leak and to check the gas cap first.
Beyond the gas cap, what could it be?
Thank you!!

You're gonna think my post is useless, but if you're not smelling gas and you're not noticing any problems driving then just check the gas cap. More then likely it wasn't screwed back on all the way or the gasket is worn down (happened to me). Then, unplug the negative battery cable for 20 minutes, reinstall it, and see if the error comes back.

If that doesn't help check out this video to find a EVAP leak.

I failed to mention that I DID smell gas when the jeep struggled to start yesterday. I can't view the video....I don't have access.

Just so you all know that I can MAN UP to my own CHADWICKITY, (stupidity) I called my wife at home this morning, and told her when she got up and around, to go outside and see if my gas cap was loose, or even missing.
Well, she just called me at work to tell me that the gas cap WASN'T EVEN SCREWED ON, and was hanging by the tether.
Guess when I was getting gas yesterday morning, I failed to put the cap back on.

I feel like such a dummy though for walking right past my gas cap at least 3 different times and never noticing it.
And to make it worse, I asked MY WIFE to go out and check to make sure the cap was screwed on tight. Of all people to give ammunition to in order to use it against me!! LOL

Happens to me every so often if I don't tighten up about 20 turns after a fillup. Code goes out after a few hours or days, no real pattern.

Happens more often than you think. I drove mine for years and never had a problem. Never left my gas cap off any vehicle. Then, three times in one month.

First time it happened, I missed the cap completely. Took it to my mechanic and he laughed at me, tightened the cap, cleared the code. Second time, hmmmm, I must be getting old. Third time, no way. I was going through security cameras to see who was messing with me. Never happened again after that, but it still makes me wonder if someone was messing with me after the first time or if I did it three times in one month.
