Coil Spacers

I have seen 3 inch coil spacers, reccomended, frowned upon? Is there any things that need altered other than the Transfer Case drop? Not real familar with suspension lifts, but the kits offer sway bar links and all that, just wondering if that stuff is needed in something like this. If alterations are required, whats a safe coil spacer size that you do not have to add all the alterations too.

x2 Don't have to change anything with 2" spacers.

I have 3" spacers. I still need to drop my transfer case but have been driving it.. just alittle more vibration... I still have stock shocks that are ok unless you do alot of off roading... my jeeps a daily driver...

Just another question here, so if I were to go with a 2 inch spring suspension lift, not the spacers. Would i need any kind of modification other than the springs?

Shocks are usually recommended, but I would think at 2" you could get away with the stock ones, for a while anyway and assuming not much heavy offroad use. I think most 2" suspension lifts come with shocks though.

Well, I would like to go up to possibly a 3 inch spring lift, no spacer. Idk if the same qualifications go with the 3 as the 2. I have shocks for it already, just want to get new coils any how because mine ride quite rough with brand new shocks.

You should be pretty well set then. You may need a T-case drop (seems to vary jeep-to-jeep). Sway bar links would probably be good, but if your mostly running around town you could probably afford to wait a little while on those. Or wait until you break the stock swaybars then replace them as needed, up to you.

No, MCG. The spacers act as coil extensions. I wouldn't go bigger than 2" without longer shocks, JMO... The ride suffers a bit with stock shocks, but not enough to make me spring for new shocks.....

No problem Post up some pics when you're done, and let us know how the ride is... I have noticed mine is stiffer over bumps, but eh, it's a Jeep, if I want a nice ride, I drive the Charger....
