Connection problem with my marker lights?

I just bought a new (04) TJ earlier this week and the left marker light isn't working. I replaced the bulb, but it still doesn't want to work. Any suggestions on troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated.

For anyone interested, the copper connectors in the socket were corroded. So I simply replaced the socket which was a $4 part.

Also use some silicon grease to help ensure a good connection and keep water away. That area can get REALLY wet, so some proactive measures will prevent issues later.
