Console question

I've got a 97 TJ with the small console. I've found a full console from a 2000 model. Will it fit my 97?

I haven't done it, but I'm toying with the idea. I was told you needed to drill and insert some nutserts into the body so the rear cup holders had something to fasten to.

IIrc they did not have the rear cup holders until 2003 so the said 2000 console would not have them. That being said on my 98 full console (without rear cup holders) does not have machined screws holding it in. Self tapping screws would be more than sufficient.
