Question control arm question ???

I'm looking at fitting a 4 inch lift to my 04 TJ,
I am aware I will need a sye/cv to eliminate any drive shaft vibes. its the control arms that I'm confused about.
I've noticed many kits come with new fixed lower front and rear control arms, but no upper control arms. I've read on here that I will need adjustable upper front and rear control arms to adjust the angle of the drive shaft.
Being pretty mechanically stupid my question is will that work or do I also need adjustable lower front and rear control arms or will the new fixed lower ones supplied with the kit work. Thanks

From what I've read on the topic, you need adjustable rear uppers at the very least. Adjustable upper and lowers rears is ideal. You shouldn't need adjustable fronts for your SYE.

When in doubt, power out!

Before you can make that decision, you need to educate yourself on what control arms do. After that, it should be evident that adjustment is needed all around if you want your axle ideally positioned.

It's easy for companies to make their kits look like better bargains when they don't include adjustable arms all around. Stock arms may work with tiny lifts but anything higher will require adjustables as every Jeep reacts a little bit differently and the necessary length cannot be predetermined and mass-produced. Like the previous posts say, educate yourself. There's some pretty sweet threads with tons of info on here and Check em out and come back with more questions, every person we can keep from having to build their Jeeps more than once is a victory.
