Crossed wires?

I have an interesting problem, maybe some one can help. If my headlights are left on after shutting down there is no "reminder" chime, but whenever I apply the emergency brake I do get a chime...I imagine I have some wires crossed but not sure where to start looking. Anyone else have this issue? Thanks in advance for any help!

Do you run without your doors? If so did you pull the fuse for the dome light? I believe if that fuse is gone then it also takes out the buzzer for headlights on.
