cruise contro problem

Hi all

I finally got my dream car. 2006 unlimited straight six, six speed manual. I love it !

Except for one little problem.

A few weeks back we took a trip. At about 200 miles with the cruise at 70 all of a sudden the spedometer dropped to 40, the cruise disengaged and then the speedometer went to zero even though we were still going about 70. I turned the cruise off and after a bit the speedometer went back to normal. Its happend quite a few times after that. Once at 5 mile, then 15. Speed doesn't seem to be an issue.

The dealer took it twice and tried to find the problem. But naturally it didn't do it for them.

Any ideas?

Joe
