cutting bodylift

Ive decided to go less on the 3 inch body lift i have on now. I was wondering if i can just cut the body lift pucks in half and use those. I never installed a body list before so i dont know how they are shaped, so i dont know if cutting them will ruin them. any info would be great. thanks

you cant just cut the pucks in half

But you can order up some new pucks that's what I did I took the 2" body lift off and put a 1" body lift on
the cost of the pucks were a total of $33 with shipping go to eBay
you'll find the pucks for a couple of dollars each

you'll need shorter bolts as well or you'll punch through the tub in some spots.

The steering mount block also needs to be as tall as the pucks instead of 3", next you will also need to cut the fuel filler hose (+the small hose thats right by it) more and you will need to figure something out for the radiator. The brackets for the shift linkage will also need to be shortened (which brings me to the next question).

Upinar i'm curious what have you done with the 2wd/4hi/n/4lo linkage? any pics? With 6.25 lift u got, and without a sye and cv, i'd imagine you have lots of tcase drop. What have you done with the linkages as 2.5" of difference from stock is the max so now i cannot shift to 4lo.

its a plate that brings down the linkage to its its original position. I bought the jeep with 3 inch body lift, so it was on when i bought it. I can just make a smaller drop with a of steel for the 2 inch body lift. Its just a long drop bracket, i guess 3 inches...i get that question a lot and nobody seems to believe me. yes, i have 6.5 inches of lift, maybe a litter more in the back. I have the M.O.O.R.E 1inch motor mount lift and the transfer drop kit that the rough country 4 inch lift kit, i also lenghen my drive shaft about 2 inches. and i have the rear pinion angled at the best position where it would be less expected to vibration. I have no vibration at any speed. Today, i took out the front coil spacers and the rear 2inch shackle lift. I going for a new look now, i want the 4 inch lift with a 2 inch body, and 37-13.5-15 x-terrains. These swampers are kickin my butt on the road. Oh, and im gonna paint it sliver. So the beast is under construction once again and i dont think it will be such a beast when its done. But i think it will look nice and sporty and more street safe. I drive far to university everyday with the tires at a constant wobble, its funny watching people pull of next to me and yelling that my tires are loose.

maybe he isnt quite at 6.25''.. i know my 2'' procomp coils came out to like 1.5'' and my buddies rough county lift doesnt look like its quite what it says.. looks like 3'' instead of 4''

maybe the bb spacers are just to balance it out to what it should be.. like 5'' or a tad bit more.. i could be wrong tho

Cool on the drop brackets. What did you do about the adjusting rod? (red on the image)
I have 2" bodylift and 1" tcase drop. I have the 3" drop bracket however the stock adjusting rod is too short so i cannot adjust it. I thought you'd have messed around with that since of the large lift you got on there.

I bought a 3" BL and cut all the pucks excatly 1" and drilled new holes on the TC linkage bracket, and got all new hard ware 1" shorter, so yes you can cut your pucks but need a few other things as well not that hard to do...
