dana 44 in the front??

hello everyone,

i have an 05 LJ on 33's and noticed the other day that it looks like it has a dana 44 in the front, The P.O. had the dealer do a bunch of mods to it when he purchased it.
heres some pic's of the Back and front

if it is a d44 in the front is there an easy way to tell if he changed the gears,
thanks for the help

Doesn't look like a Dana 44 to me.

the rear is, but the front I believe is the stock axle. (Dana 30)

To check gear ratio, either spin wheels 2 x and watch number of DS rotations.

Or look for a diff tag, or yank cover and start counting.

The front Dana 30 does indeed fool some as it does kinda look like a Dana 44. But only Rubicons have a Dana 44 up front, that's a Dana 30 you have up front. And unless the PO changed the gears, you have 3.73.
Remember that having a different opinion doesn't also require one to be a jerk when expressing it.

When you have a choice, buy American.
