just an example of another jeep

too many to list, any old full size jeep had them in the front, the older ones had them rear too, and the newer ones had the amc 20's rear.

Almost too wide of variety.... since there's Ford D44, Waggy D44, Jeep D44.

If your looking more TJ specific, then 98-04 Sahara models typically came with D44's
Those D44's are different then the 03-06 Rubi D44's as well.

There are some XJ's as well that used D44's too, but not sure the years, I want to say something like 85-88 maybe

Just remember to double check the tag code if able to read on the axle, otherwise bring a printout of the D44 diff to look at to compare bolt patterns

The Scout guys think that the Jeep guys are vultures for stealing all their axles. Of course, the Scouts are all swiss cheese by now, so what do they expect?

In addition to being a 44, you also need to pay attention to passenger or driver side pumpkin, spring mounts, and lots of other stuff way beyond my abilities. Have fun!

But can I ask a question if it's not too much of a hijack? Do you want the full width axles? I am personally getting a little weirded out by how many of these frankensteins I see on trails around here. Itty bitty Jeeps sitting on huge axles and tires.
