Defroster - diconnected connection

Mine broke the past winter. I held a stripped wire up there with tape and kept the defroster working. Just put the hard top back on for winter and need some advice.

Couldn't seem to glue it back nor soder it last year... I'll tape it if I have to again but other than replacing the back window, thoughts on how to reconnect the connection for the rear window defroster?

I hate to have to buy a new Jeep but I will if I have to.
