So I'm sure some of you recognize me and how bad my luck has been. First I was rear ended and it totaled my jeep, then I was almost ran over by a huge earth mover on a construction site, then I was driving my jeep and rear ended my girlfriends car, basically destroying it.

So I just got my jeep back and decided to try out my winch and get my self a bit stuck. So I stupidly found a big mud pit and went in it. I didn't know how deep it was and I couldn't handle it, so I was bottomed out and water was coming in and it was awful. I had my girlfriend in the car in a dress and she was soaked in muddy water. I got out and winches out, and as I winches out it dragged my transmission on the bottom of the pit. Smashing it to bits. It was a miracle I could drive home, but later on that night I was driving and it completely broke down and blew up. My transmission was in pieces and fluid was leaking from everywhere. I destroyed everything in the transmission. Like the gears, assembly, everything. Il try my best to attach pics, but I'm going to have to completely rebuild this! No fun :frown:

That's not bad luck... It's not using your head! You live, you learn... Grab a used tranny on craigslist, pop it in and your back in the game. Everything's a learning experience. Do you not have a transmission skid? I'm sure you'll be back on the road in no time... You maybe single and suffering from blue balls but you'll be back on the road! Hope you took the GF out for drinks after you finished shopping at the mall!

pics of the soaked and muddy GF? Also get some white sage and smudge the Jeep well to release all that negative energy. While your at it, breath deep while surrounding yourself with the smoke, and maybe it will release yours too.

x2 on the used tranny. If you are going to keep blowing them up, might as well be inexpensive ones.

Heart breaking to watch now that I'm older, but completely necessary from those of us "hard way" learners. I've buried every vehicle I've ever owned, nearly rolled a few, destroyed some more than others. Every one of them now, I look back and wonder "what the hell was I thinking?" I bought, and repaired all of my vehicles, which may or may not have made the lessons sink in better. You break things, you learn limits (both yours and vehicle's) and you hopefully learn when to stop. I don't think there's any voodoo in the jeep, I think its testosterone and inexperience. Put it back together, pay attention, and have fun.
