Detroit locker

I've got a Dana 44 rear end, 446 gear, Detroit locker. When going around corners, it used to click, or snap, but lately it feels locked all the time. Any ideas what's going on?
Any help greatly appreciated

there's a set of springs inside - perhaps this spring or spider gear broke or is stuck inside.

You should be able to check the locker by rotating the rear wheels with it up on jack stands

Detroit lockers are always locked. They unlock during a turn.

They're supposed to, but mine isn't , instead it squeals around corners even with clutch pushed in and going slow

I can tell you it's not a Detroit Truetrac (mechanical limited slip).
