Question Diff Covers

Who makes the best diff cover? I have been looking at Rugged Ridge who have a 3/8" cover which they claim you can shoot with a .45. Who's going to do that?

Body Armor has a 7/16" cover with 100% Ductile Steel Casting. I don't know what that means. Can anyone help?

Then there is BTF who have a 1/4" cover with a 3/8 ring.

Is the thickest cover the winner, or is there more to picking these things? Help anyone please!! Thanks.

I am putting them on a Ford 8.8 and a Dana 44 if that matters.
