differential covers and fuel filter questions

Hello all, I'm fairly new to Jeeps. I have an 02 TJ wrangler and would like to put skid covers on the differentials. The axle has Dana stamped in the metal. However, how do you tell which model or did certain years have standard models? Second, how do you change the fuel filter?

Any help with this would sure be appreciated.

Thanks
Loy

Your front axle is a Dana 30 and rear axle a Dana 35 or 44. D44s have a metal fill plug and D35s have a rubber. Most likely though you have a D35.

Fuel filter is considered a lifetime part. It is apart of the fuel pump inside the fuel tank.

Your front axle will be a dana 30 unless swapped out. If you post a pic of your rear axle we can tell ya what you have. Like Freeskier said, its either a Dana 35 or Dana 44

Differential covers for 30 & 44: Heavy duty Dana Spicer differential covers

They don't have one for the 35 (if it's what you have). But still the best option for the front pending on how you are going to utilize your Jeep.
