First off... Thanks for all of the help so far! This is my first post however; many of you have helped me just by reading the responses to others.
I have a 97 TJ that I just got. I noticed today that the rear differential was leaking. I pulled the drive shaft and removed the seal. My question is with the shaft, seal and everything out... how much play if any should I have on the shaft. I'm trying to decide if I should and/or could replace the bearing (I think it is called the carrier bearing). I have the bearing but I'm not sure how I would go about removing the race of the old one or if I even should attempt.
