dimmer controlled gauge lights

I am installing autometer gauges in a dash pod in my 06 LJ. I know there is a wire in the radio loom that controlls the intensity of the lights in the radio?? Can anyone tell me the color and band whi/grn or whatever to control the intensity of the gauge lights. Thanks in advance

When adding gauges to my former vehicles (such as my race Caravan), I used to use an Add-A-Circuit to tap into the gauge lighting circuit at the fusebox.

In this manner, I could have my gauge lights dim along with the instrument panel without having to cut/splice/tap any of the waring harnesses... and my modification was also completely removable.

Looks like the OR/BR wire But make sure you test it first with a meter
