PO just installed new Pro Comp end links so I couldn't justify nor have the extra funds to buy a new set of JKS discos (Jeepin on a budget). I figured I'd give some DIY ones a shot. I can't take credit for design I think I just improved on it a bit.

I've seen this idea before; it's actually a great system. Normal home-made discos use a standard grade clevis pin that rattles around and gets it's head worn off. With this mod, you use a grade 8 bolt, and bolt it with two nuts to the axle bracket, and cut the head off. You then put a hole for a hitch pin, and with just the removal of the hitch pin, you can slide off your links. The grade 8 bolt stays bolted to the bracket as a near-solid piece, meaning no rattling to wear parts. The only tricky part is getting the fit tight enough so the link doesn't rattle against the hitch pin and wear it down.
I actually haven't done this yet for myself; but I certainly will eventually.

I made it for a very close fit between the link and pin. I had to open up the center of the bushing using a taper to get the fit right. Today I just upgraded the clevis pin from the one shown to the spring lock style. The only thing I'm having issues with us where to put the links/bar when disconnected and wheeling. I tried a pin system attached to the frame today but when I disconnected it and maxed out the flex while turned it was interfering. So for now I have installed some L brackets so that I can "bungee" then up.

If you have stock fenders, drill a bolt hole in the fender brace that is behind the parking light. Then slightly open the eye of a short 5/16" eyebolt, and bolt it to that brace so the eye is on the tire side of the brace and with the opening in the eye facing up. Then just get a couple of 1" web straps with the buckles that have the cam type locks that you can cynch up and just press the lever to release. Hook the straps over the eye bolts and cynch them up around the doubled up sway bar and end link. I kept mine up like this for a couple of years and it works well. I still use the straps on my tube fenders, but now have a hole to hook them in.
