Do Calipers need to be changed in pairs???

I am changing out my Passenger Rear caliper tomorrow morning. Money is tight. Because I am changing out my rear caliper will it matter much? I can do the other side later in the year when money is better.

I replaced my left rear caliper due to it locking up after I replaced the front rotors and installed yellow pads all around. The right rear is still OEM. I haven't had any problems.

no you do not have to replace them both, they are independent of each other.

I would highly recommend it. My front driver side caliper locked up about a year ago, and every time i would brake, it would dangerously cut to the right, immediately. I replaced the caliper without a problem, and two days later the left one locked up, and i had to wait two more days for the caliper to come in the mail...So i learned my lesson, replace in pairs to avoid the trouble!

This is very good advice. I plan on changing out all of the calipers in the next year - at the same time.
