Do I need bump stop extensions???

I put a 2 in spacer lift on my 98 wrangler and was wondering if I really need bump stop extensions on the front end. I put them on all 4 corners but it seems like the front ones are hitting alot. The company I bought the spacers from told me I don't need them on the front so I just want to be sure before I take the front extensions off.

For a spacer lift, you do not need them

Do you have longer shocks than stock? Then the shocks would work as bumpstops on big bumps without BS extensions. This can damage the shocks.

IMO your problem are the old sagged springs in your 98 TJ.

I just removed them a few hours ago but haven't wheeled it yet to see if it makes a difference. I just noticed in the past that it would feel like the front end would bottom out so I looked it over and noticed the bottom spring cup had marks on it where the bump stops were hitting. I figured this was killing my amount of flex cause the bump stops on "flat" ground were very close to the bottom spring cup. When I had wheeled it before the spacer lift and bump stop extensions were installed it seemed like I had more travel so we'll see how it does now I guess!

Oh by the I forgot to mention it does have the old saggy stock springs. I plan on upgrading to a quality lift kit in the future but right now I have a baby boy on the way so the spacer lift is gonna have to do for now!
