Door and Windshield Hinges

Hey all, I am looking to replace my door and windshield hinges on my 99 TJ. At the moment they are stainless steel. My jeep is black and I know that the new black hinges probably won't match my faded black paint. I was thinking about going with a black powder coated hinge.

Whats your thoughts, what have other people done

Also, what is a good brand to replace these with?

IMO.....paint the ones you currently have with a flat black paint or hammered texture paint.
Scuff the stainless and start painting!!

Actually, I could powder coat these pieces myself, but the driver side door hinge has began to wear down...... so that is why I was going to order new.

You think a welder could help me out?

Thanks for the input

I'm surprised to hear that a stainless door hinge is wearing down. Stainless is pretty tough steel.

Hmm... well I suppose I could be mistaken in thinking that they are stainless steel...

+1 On stainless being hard. I can't count the number of drills I've worn out on it. It is very hard.

PB Blast to remove if you wish, sand it down, prep it and paint it up! Then paint the rest of the Jeep yourself
