Door hinge replacement question

Hi all -

First post Just bought my 2000 Wrangler this spring and I'm loving it. Currently replacing my rusty hinges with new Rugged Ridge hinges. The parts I received are correct - I've validated twice. I'm hoping the experts here can help

Two questions:
1) the replacement door hinges are mounted with an allen wrench bolt - which is good - but the bolt doesn't seem to be exactly the same size as the Torx bolt - they spin in really tough (to the point where the allen wrench bends a bit)... should I be re-drilling those holes? Is there something else going on?

2) the allen wrench bolts are raised so the top of the bolt is not flush to the hinge surface... which isn't a big deal on the lower hinge but causes problems when trying to mount the side view mirrors. I've got them on now but essentially the mirrors are not flush up against the hinge which could lead to problems down the road from water and debris getting in there. Should I be doing something different?

Thanks in advance!

sounds like different bolts are wrong thread pattern. I would suggest getting the proper bolts and run a tap thru the holes

Thanks Pyro!

Anyone know what the specs for the bolts that go into the plates behind the door should be?

I'm very surprised Rugged Ridge sells replacement hinges with bolts that don't fit stock...
