I had it happen one time, crawled through the other side, drove all the way home with the heater blasted and about 10 minutes into the drive it unlocked, think it was just cold for me anyway.

That was happening to my passenger side when I bought it... the fix (by the dealer) was the rod that went from the lock to the mechanism had broken and fallen off... You have to take the interior part of the door off to check for this... it was like a 10 min fix with the right part.

Yup. Same thing happened to my passenger door. The rod didn't break, just somehow fell off. It was a easy fix.

Happened to me as well the other night. Lots of moisture in the air and very cold I was able to get in on the passenger side. I believe it was caused by the lock freezing. But, not sure have not had a problem since, might happen again today do to the fast approching weather.

i can roll down the window and see all the linkage inside the door while i try to unlock the door. it all moves but i think it might be bent somewhere.

atthetop: i have a soft top, but to keep everything in the rear safe i bought the bestop extenda trunk.
