Driver side tire screeching noise

Ok about 3 months ago I started having noises coming from my front driver side wheel. At first it was an on and off thing but now itís just constant when the wheel is moving. It does only screech at a certain spot as the wheel moves so I'm not sure what it could be. I'm almost positive itís not a break thing because it happens when the brakes are not being pressed down, although it might be possible. I'm currently unemployed so money is tight and if I can do it myself then I'm all for it. You guys have any ideas what it could be?

If I can get a video of it, I'll get it uploaded a.s.a.p. Any replies will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I ment to say wheel, not tire in the thread title. Sorry.

It may be the bearing hub has gone. If you jack the jeep up and can move the tire and wheel in and out then the bearing is gone.
Hubs are easy to change IMO but you are looking at $80 - 100 for the part.

Check the sheetmetal brake shield. If it was accidentally bent it can make a screeching sound against the brake rotor as it rotates.

Some of the disc brakes have a "metallic scraper" on the pad that screeches to warn you that your pads are almost wore out and need replacement. So check the thickness of the pads. Just a thought.
