New owner here. I have a 99 wrangler. I recently took it to the dealer and had some issues fixed immediately after I purchased it from a private party. When I picked up the vehicle I noticed on the paperwork they made a note that the noise ( Rattle and squeak ) I asked them about on the drivers side of the vehicle was " Lift kit pin noise " LOL really? Does this mean they are loose or need to be replaced? The passenger side makes no noise at all. I have looked under the vehicle but have no clue what I'm looking at? Difficult or easy fix. Replace the parts or a simple tighten the part?
Are those the small the small bar links located in the front just behind the bumper? If so those I had replaced when I took it to the dealership. The previous owner had them zip tied up , they were not even connected because they were broken.
Check the mounting holes where the upper and lower control arms connect. The jeep I mistakenly bought had not been maintained properly. The bolts on the control arms ovaled out the mounting holes. Whenever you engage the drivetrain certain parts move from torque if they are not secure. I had more of a clunk than a squeak. Hope this helps and good luck.
