DW during braking/Clunk sounds

Hey guys,

Ive got a 06 wrangler 4.0 6spd. It has recently started having DW when slowing down from from a high speed (60-65). Does it around 55 while braking thru a slight curve or sometimes when going straight. I don't think that the rotors are warped because you can't feel it at any other speed and there is no brake pedal pulsation. And it will stop when i let off the brakes and apply again gently. Also have a clunk/bang/groan type sound that ive heard before but very rarely. It has started making this sound all the time over small bumps, turning, coming in my driveway. All steering componets seem tight, wheel bearings have no play. But they driver shock has alittle play in it when i wiggle it and makes a some noise, and when i grab the driver side axle shaft and turn it, it also has some play in it. Could this be what's causing my symptoms? I'm getting ready to go back outside and check all the mounting bolts.

Thanks for any help guys.

All suspension bolts are tight. The sound is getting really bad, no one has any ideas? If i grab the rear driver side of the vehicle and shake it i can make the sound also if i stand on the rear driverside of the bumper and jump up and down. Are the shocks shot? I assume the PO put them on with the BB. They say made in mexico on the side so i doubt that they are good quailty.

I'd inspect the rotors just to be safe. It's hard to tell sometimes, but even a slight warp can cause a violent shaking.

I know u said u checked all the suspension but I thought I'd throw this in here in case u may have over looked it. The rear trac bar will come loose. Mine was when I bought my jeep and it made a horrible clunking whenever it could. Grab hold of it and make sure its good and tight. Also it wouldn't hurt to go ahead and hit all the control arm bolts. I've found that just giving them a good shake Doesn't really test out how tight they really are. U might of already done all this. Just trying to help. Good luck

I would check the shocks. The part about it having issues in corners tells me something is not right with the shocks. Hence the shock is not working right and is letting things bounce so to speak. May not be the whole issue, but I would guess is part of it.
