E brake light not going off

Hey guys, my e brake works fine, but for some reason the light won't go off when I disengage the e brake. It beeps 6 times whenever I start moving. I could probably find the fuse, but I'm not sure if that fuse also runs other dash lights...
Have any of you guys had this issue?

You should check your brake fluid level, that light also serves as a warning light for something wrong in the brakes system.

Also could be the little switch at the base of the brake lever. There is a metal contact that could be touching something it shouldn't and completing the circuit.

Thanks guys .. Problem solved.. The brake fluid was low.. I was assuming it was the e brake because one time the brake was sticking on when the lever was down. Thanks for the quick replies!

May want to give your brake system a good check to see why your fluid was low. If the brakes were squishy you likely have a leak somewhere allowing ait into the system.

X2! Squishy brakes mean you have a problem. Need to find leak before you are going down the road and find out you have no brakes!
