I just installed the rear brake caliper flip kit from blaine. While I did it I installed all new pads/shoes/rotors/hardware. The rotor box had a sticker that says wash with simple green to remove anti-rust coating so I did that. I installled all the brakes. I adjusted the e-brake shoes so there is just a very slight amount of drag when turning the axle shaft by hand. The cables are tight so I can't even pull the brake handle all the way up.
I've read that with the e-brake reversal kit I would gain extra braking power because of the leverage so something else must be wrong. Do e-brake shoes have a break-in procedure like regular brake pads?
