Easy Courtesy light question

Hello all 1st post...

Should the floor courtesy lights and the dome light come on when the door is opened? I just got my 2000 Sport and they never have come on?

And....does anyone know the size of the floor well light?

Thanks in advance and for all the help you have already provided to me

Yes, check the fuse for them behind the glove box...the previous owner probably pulled it so they could drive doorless without the lights staying on.

You have to put the fuse back in # 10 i think. People take them out so the light dosn't stay on when the doors are off. Not sure what size bulb maybe 1156 or 1157.

I don't know if the newer sports come with the courtesy lights, but at the very minimum the dome light should come on. Like the others said, most likely the fuse is out.

Thanks all!

But you got me thinking...the doors off/fuse out make sense.....but the light do come on when I turn the headlight knob....does that bypass that fuse?

Yes it does. Pulling the fuse only disengages the door switches. You can still manually turn the lights on. I thought that it was fuse #4 but I could be wrong. It wouldn't be the first time.

Sure does. That fuse is just for the door switches.
