electrical ?

Hey Everyone,

I have a 97 TJ with a blinker/hazard lite problem. They just stopped working. I checked fuses and they're good. Is there a flasher on the TJ and if it is bad will the lights still come on but just not blink like on my old chevy? Where is it located? Any help or ideas would be greatly appresiated.

When you turn your blinker on do you get a quick flash or does it just stay on? Could be as easy as burn out bulb in one of the flashers.

Check the flasher itself - and get a new one. Pull off the knee cover in your TJ, remove the metal support bracket. It's hidden behind some wiring looming off the passenger's side of the steering column. It's a bit hard to find if you don't know where it is, but you'll find it. It's a little black box that plugs into a socket- about the size of your average 30A relay you use on lights (1"x1"x1.5")

Do you have turn signals still? I'm with 1blkjp in suggesting swapping in new bulbs which are cheap before I start pulling apart the interior and buying an electrical part that cannot be returned.
