Emissions Monitors not setting

I just had my catalytic converter replaced, and the mechanic had to reset the ECU. Now, I guess 2 of three emmissions monitors are "set" but three need to set before the car will pass. He reccomends driving it for a while, but is this an issue with the 50 warm up cycles needed, as mentioned in the sticky faq?
