I went riding yesterday with 4 cj's , 5 yj, one of yj's and one of the cj's were FI and me of course. When crossing a cupple creeks and having the climb the bank to get out i had to be a little mean to it and the engine kept dying??? I was the only one that was having a problem and the only tj. what up with that?? Creeks werent that deep so i dont thank i was geting any water in it. Do yall have any thang like this happen?
No. i was making a comment about the the tank being full. Its an 05 4.0 6speed. it acted like a carb. Hit the bank, make it about half way up and goes dead. No smoke when it cranks back up but did take more to get it cranked and running.
Lug it out in the wrong gear or did it just stall right out of the blue with the RPMs up?
Well. preaty much just stalled out. I was i 2nd around 4500. Did it twice. The 3rd time I was being pulled up the bank and still died. Felt kind of bad the V8 carb. guys were making fun of me. I was being mean to it now. I wouldnt be suprised if tires wernt off the ground. Acted just like a old carbed engine, died and took a lot of cranking to get it back running but didnt see any smoke. Hell i dont know, may have gotn some water in it
