Engine loud, lots of power lost, exhaust leak?

Aloha

I own a 2002 wrangler 4 cyl automatic. It has recently got louder, I seem to have less power, seems to run a little rough. Any ideas? I have only had a jeep since November and don't know what to do, but want to fix it myself. I am thinking it is an exhaust leak somewhere by the engine as that is where the loudness comes from. I don't see anything lose, but I don't know if I'm checking everything. A little love would be great. Thank you ahead of time

Look for a crack in it or get a stethoscope and put it around it and where it gets louder thats where the crack is. Or i believe you can buy this stuff that you put in and it smokes where there is a crack

Still can't find it but I think I need to replace the manifold. Should I do it myself? Is it easy to do, or should I pay someone else?

Work your way forward from the tail pipe, check all parts of the exhaust for looseness and cracks (muffler, cat, downpipe) however given that a cracked exhaust manifold is a common issue with these engines (I had a crack in my old 4cyl YJ), that is probably your culprit. Replacing an exhaust manifold isn't difficult if you take your time, have the right tools, and SPRAY THE BOLTS DOWN WITH PB BLAST REAL GOOD for about a day first. A flex head 3/8 ratchet helps to get in those hard to reach places, but with a 4cyl you should have a lot of room to work around. There's plenty of write ups online and this forum, a new manifold runs about 100, don't waste your time trying to weld the old one or get a used one, not worth the trouble if it turns out to be a dud. and don't JB weld your manifold either, this is one of those rare times when redneckness won't work well.

I am having trouble. And I can't find a good write up for a 4 cyl. I bought the new manifold and I am taking things apart and trying to label everything. Do I really need to disconnect the fuel rail, or can I just push it aside. Should I buy all new bolts? Anyone know of a good you tube video or have a link for a good write up and hopefully with pictures
