Engine Rebuild

I have a 97 TJ with about 140k miles on it. The 4.0L still runs solid but its startin to get to the age where things will need to be replaced. Just for future reference and to know when to start saving money, how much does a full engine rebuild cost?

you can buy rebuilt for around $1200-1500. if you take care of that motor, it will last another buck 40 without being replaced. the only thing you can do for inside of motor is change oil every 3k. nowadays people go 4-5k on average, not good for motors. treat her right, and she'll treat you right.
