i'm wondering if the engine/tranny from a 1995 cherokee will fit into my 98 wrangler. got someone local whose selling the whole cherokee for relatively cheap and wondering if the whole engine/transmission/axles/driveshafts/diffs could all transfer over? any help would be appreciated.
You can do something like that but there is a lot of work and money involved. MY recommendation is to pick up a 5.2 or 5.7 from grandcherokee and do the swap it it is going to cost the same either way and makes more sense even if your doing swap yourself. I have a 2.5 jeep 98 and thats what I am going to do I have engine and tranny sitting in my garge right nowunk:
the only reason i'm considering this type of motor/car is because i can get the whole donor car for extremely jeep. just wondering if everything is bolt on or if its gonna be a whole lot of custom modifications
