Engine whistle noise

I have a 2000 TJ and sometimes it makes a whistle noise. It will make the noise at idle and while driving. At idle if you rev up the motor a little it goes away, and while driving it will go away also if you give it more gas. It is pretty loud and I am really lost as to what it is. Any ideas on wher to start looking?

Do you have a cool air intake or a throttle body spacer?

I would look for a vacume leak. in a hose maybe I beleive the vacume drops when engine revs or high rpms. that would go along with the noise going away when reving or driving with more gas.
